Decoration:

Painted polychromic decoration by application of black and red pigments. The nose is plastically moulded, while the eyes are marked by small eliptical incisions.

Fragment of a vessel from Early neolithic site Sofia-Slatina and Hadzhilar in Anatolia.

Interpretation:

Most probably the vessel represents the Great Mother Goddess who is praying for rain.
